“The infinity symbol” …. our logo and its symbolic meaning

Our company name, InnaSerenity, is an adaption of the words “inner serenity” which are often defined to mean a state of being calm, peaceful and untroubled, characterised by a profound sense of tranquility and stillness, often achieved through practices like mindfulness, acceptance and cultivating a positive mindset.
The infinity symbol, combined with a feather, are deep and powerful representations of life and relationships. They are not only beautiful, but they also have mystery, symbolism and meaning, and are a metaphor representing life and relationship rebirths, transformation, change, hope and life itself.

The infinity symbol’s meaning and symbolism are rooted in the figure eight turned on its side. It represents timelessness, infinite potential and unboundedness. There is an element of limitless wisdom, perspective and opportunity with the infinity symbol. There is also a sense of constant motion and movement with this symbol, just like life and relationships are always in a state of constant motion, movement and transformation … and this is the key message with the infinity symbol. The infinity symbol’s sense of movement correlates with the journey to self-realisation, and in a world filled with life and relationship challenges, the infinity symbol, represents a sense of transformation. It reminds us to be conscious of where we are and the endless possibilities we have to achieve self-healing and relationship unity. The colour blue also represents wisdom and inner peace, and orange represents energy, enthusiasm, warmth and happiness … all helpful qualities which support the transformation journey to self-healing and relationship unity.

The feather symbolism takes on different meanings, depending on who you ask. Seeing a feather can give us deep insight into what it is we need to do, and can be a reminder to continue on our journey to self-healing and relationship unity. The feather also holds messages and can unlock deep healing and teachings. Like a bird that soars through the boundless sky and has a view of all things from high above, feathers symbolise the ability to transcend / transform and move beyond our mental barriers, limitations and all the hurt and pain which we may be experiencing in our lives and relationship(s).
For us humans too, the relationship and self-healing transformation path (as with the infinity symbol), is a journey and has no destination point. We love this saying by Matsuo Basho, “Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home.” Due to the dynamic nature and energy of life and relationships, our paths to self-healing and relationship unity will continue to be a journey. We will never ‘arrive’ and get to the point where there is no longer any work for us to do in our lives and relationships.  If we want to keep our lives and relationships fresh, healthy and consciously connected, then they deserve and require us to constantly invest energy and effort into them.  Unfortunately, transformation does include some form of struggle … some form of “de-constructing the old” and then “constructing the new”. Not all of us make it through this transformation process successfully, but for those of us that do … for those of us that are committed to our transformative goals, the rewards are life altering. Yes, we may not know ahead of time how we will emerge from our transformative journeys. But one thing is for sure, it will ultimately be beautiful.  We must find the courage to move forward, to heal our relationship(s), ourselves and to nurture fun, loving and fulfilled lives moving forward.

We must endure the “struggle” ... the transformative process which leads us from adversity to happiness in our relationships and our lives, as this is how we consciously create positive lasting change.  But this is only the beginning.  Are we able to make the changes in ourselves and our relationship, and to start our journey to self-healing and relationship unity?  Are we able to get past the default settings of our past, the negative patterns and the destructive habits in our lives and relationships?  Do we want to live fun and fulfilled lives / have fulfilled relationships?

Put simply, the infinity symbol and the feather represent a transformative journey, as with the journey from a troubled life and relationship to an enlightened life and relationship. When we undergo a transformative process, we tend to “retreat” from the outer world and into our inner worlds, and create awareness in ourselves of our negative beliefs and destructive patterns. We must embrace change, acknowledge our destructive behaviour and beliefs and allow ourselves to create new beliefs and behaviours through conscious / awareness living.

Once we embrace the transformational process, we must emerge from within, and nurture a loving, happy and fulfilled life and relationship. Similar to the infinity symbol and feather, we too must emerge after being “rebirthed” and refined into a new version of ourselves and our relationships.
